Mind Patterns

My dad once told me how he moved from being second-to-last in his class to becoming the best, with Mathematics as his strongest subject. He even went on to win scholarships that supported his schooling.

The turning point? A teacher who believed in him. That belief sparked confidence, and he acted on it, and his life changed.

Have you ever found yourself handling with ease things you once thought were beyond you? That’s the power of the mind. It can be retrained through practice and consistency.

Think about it: if you were craving pizza and suddenly a fire broke out near the shop, you wouldn’t wait to grab a slice before running. Your focus would shift instantly. In the same way, habits that feel impossible to break can be replaced with new ones when your focus changes.

Retrain your mind to think and act positively.

As Philippians 4:8–9 (GNT) reminds us:
“Fill your minds with those things that are good and that deserve praise: things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and honorable. Put into practice what you learned and received from me, both from my words and from my actions. And the God who gives us peace will be with you.”
